Meet the 2025–2026 Fellows

Talia Jacob

Visitors Fellow

Talia was born and raised in the United Kingdom, and graduated with an MA in law in 2023 from the University of Law. She previously received a BA in English, and a foundation diploma in art and design. Recently she spent two years living in Tel Aviv, Israel. During this time, she interned at ANU Museum of the Jewish People and worked as a Front Desk Associate for Brown Hotels. There she was able to hone her communication skills by providing customer service to individuals with no common language to her! Her latest role was as a Box Office Assistant and Usher at JW3, the Jewish cultural centre in London. Talia is lucky to have worked in visitor services over the past few years, engaging with different people and enhancing their user experiences. She is excited to continue this work in Rwanda, through a valuable service learning lens, as a 2025-2026 Visitors Fellow at ASYV.

Liora Reiken

Senior Visitors Fellow

Raised in White Plains, New York, Liora Reiken is a Barnard College graduate, where she studied mathematical sciences and elementary education. Her journey as an educator has taken her across the world—from tutoring in New York City classrooms to teaching English in rural Thailand. Liora is incredibly excited to be returning as a Visitors Fellow for a second year at Agahozo-Shalom Youth Village.

Sarah Sachs

Communications & Visitors Fellow

Sarah Sachs grew up in Metuchen, New Jersey and attended George Washington University in D.C. where she studied English and communications with a minor in German. While there, Sarah was on the board of the community service fraternity, Alpha Phi Omega, and would lead members on service projects. She was also passionate about her work with the school’s student newspaper, The Hatchet, where she hosted a weekly podcast, What’s New Buff and Blue, holding interviews and covering news on campus and in D.C. Prior to that, Sarah completed a gap year in Israel with Young Judaea Year Course. During Year Course, she held an internship at The Times of Israel under the Chief Political Correspondent. She also traveled extensively throughout the country, spending time on Kibbutzim, an ecological farm, and even three weeks at the Agahozo-Shalom Youth Village. Most recently, Sarah worked at UJA Federation of New York, a Jewish nonprofit, primarily on the Community Initiative for Holocaust Survivors, organizing events, briefings, and volunteer opportunities to support the survivor population in New York and Israel. Sarah is thrilled to be joining the ASYV family as a Communications & Visitors Fellow.

Claire Shea

Career Resources Center Fellow

Born and raised in Bloomington, Indiana, Claire graduated from Indiana University in 2023 with one B.A. in international studies and another in French language. At IU, Claire was heavily involved with the university’s chapter of Kesem, a non-profit organization that offers year-round support to children whose parents have been affected by cancer. Eight weeks working as a camp counselor and operations coordinator at the entirely student-run summer camp instilled a strong desire to continue working with vulnerable youth. Throughout university, Claire worked as a mentor for Burmese refugee high school students in her state, a freshman schedule advisor, and a peer counselor for the Office of Overseas Studies, helping students decide which experiences they were interested in and how best to realize them. Since graduation, she has spent the past two years teaching English to high school and elementary students in the French overseas territories of Reunion Island and French Guiana. Claire is so excited to join the ASYV community as a Career Resources Center Fellow for the 2025-2026 school year!

Dylan Stage

Career Resources Center Fellow

Originally from Fargo, North Dakota, and Moorhead, Minnesota, Dylan graduated from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities in 2023 with a B.A. in economics, political science, and Spanish studies. As an undergrad, he was a community engagement scholar. In this role, he completed 500+ public service hours across numerous organizations. He also served as a Presidential Research Fellow for a think tank in Washington, D.C., where he published and was awarded for original research on immigrant investment policies. After graduation, he worked briefly at a law firm as a legal assistant before joining the Peace Corps, where he spent two years teaching English at a technical university in Central Mexico. Dylan is incredibly excited to join the ASYV family as a Career Resources Center Fellow for the 2025-26 academic year!

cami stillwell

Senior Public Health Fellow

Originally from just outside Washington, D.C., Cami graduated from Boston College in 2023 with a degree in applied psychology, human development, and global public health. During her studies, she worked as a research assistant with the Research Program on Children and Adversity (RPCA), supporting youth development initiatives in Rwanda and Sierra Leone. In 2024, Cami worked with a maternal health organization in South Africa, where she counseled expectant mothers and assisted in both antenatal classes and live births. Over the past two years, she has also been involved with Move Up Global (MUG), an organization dedicated to improving health and education in remote regions of Rwanda. As a leader on MUG’s Innovation Council, Cami plays a key role in advancing sexual and reproductive health education, organizing fundraising initiatives, and supporting research efforts.

Cami is passionate about the intersection of health and education and is committed to pursuing a lifelong career in public health and youth development. She views ASYV as an integral part of this journey and is thrilled to be returning as a Senior Public Health Fellow for the 2025–26 school year!
